the manual don’t include how to load the cdrom as an ATAPI cdrom not using the cdrom image, the letters still DKA1…
but if using cdrom as an atapi , the drive letters will change to DQA0…
don’t know how to do this …
AlphaVM does not emulate IDE/ATAPI. It emulates SCSI. Thus, CDROM will always appear as a DK device (DQ is for ATAPI). Still you can use \\.\Cdrom0 to access a real CD. It can be ATAPI in Windows, but appear SCSI in OpenVMS. Hope it clarifies the situation.
