Rawhide chipset

Rawhide is a set of core logic designs used to build EV5-based SMP systems.

Rawhide core logic chipset also has internal name MCPCIA.

• Systems:
  • AlphaServer 4000
  • AlphaServer 4100
  • AlphaServer 1200
• Number of CPUs: 1-4 CPUs.
• Supported CPU types: EV5, EV56, EV6. Although EV6 is mentioned in the spec, there are no known servers with Rawhide and EV6.
• Up to 4 PCI hoses.
• Is supported by OpenVMS starting from 6.2-1h3.
• Is supported by Tru64 starting from 3.2F.
• Is supported by Windows NT starting from 3.51.
